Brain, Book, Buddy, Boss!
We teachers are always complaining about how we want our students to be independent learners. Well, they’ll only become independent learners if we teach them how. One way I’m trying to do this is to make sure they’ve always used their brain, book and buddy before they ask me (the boss!) for help. I didn’t invent this approach, but I may be the first to have turned it into a chant!
